Peacock Ring

Inspired by art nouveau and serenity and nature and symmetry... but mostly by how freaking crazy cool peacock feathers are, here's a ring to lose yourself into.

This gorgeous chunk of gold comes in the form of a perfectly delicate peacock feather set with an intense greenish-blue diamond eye. The feather rests atop the finger in a wide lightly domed shape but narrows and is smooth under the finger, making this an extraordinarily comfortable ring to wear.

Diamonds

The diamond is included in the price of this ring; price listed is for 14K gold. I use a stone 1/4ct, or 4mm diameter, and I can use either a traditional colorless diamond (G or H color, VS2 or better clarity, GIA cert), or as shown in these photos, a peacock blue diamond (VS clarity, heated color-enhanced). I’m happy to use a colored stone too—see the Customizations section below for details. All diamonds I purchase are Kimberly Process guaranteed (conflict-free certified)

Customization options

  • Finger size: Please let me know your size via email (cheyenneweil@gmail.com). I make these by hand, so between sizes, 1/4 sizes are all fine. Let me know any pertinent fit details in your email.

  • Stone: I have this ring priced for a ~1/4ct or ~4mm diamond, either traditional white or blue as shown in these photos. I am happy to change this up to another stone of your choosing. Let me know!

  • Metal preference: 14K or 18K, white, yellow, or rose gold (rose gold available in 14K only), 14K or 18K palladium white gold (if nickel sensitive). Here is a description of all the metal options I work with; send me an email and I’ll get you a quote.

Dimensions

  • Width at the widest part of the band: 11mm

  • Width of band at very bottom: 2.5mm

  • Thickness: ~2.25-3mm, lightly domed across the upper part



    This ring is hand carved in wax by me in my Portland studio using pointy tools, and then cast using the lost-wax method. I do all finishing work, stone setting, and pearl mounting. Each ring is a highly detailed work of art with great attention to detail at every angle; this ring in particular has a delicious weighty feel.
