Epic Snake Cocktail Ring
I am not tired of carving snakes yet; I'm just getting started! In this kick-ass epic whopper of a cocktail ring, a snake curls around a stone of your choice, then slides around and coils up along your finger. In the version shown in most of the images here, a ~.20-.25ct (3.75-4mm) diamond sits at the base of a lovely and dreamlike boulder opal. A light patina brings out the detail and texture and lends an overall vintage quality to the piece.
Please note this ring is priced for 14K gold, WITHOUT the primary larger stone, but pricing DOES INCLUDE THE DIAMOND accent. You get to choose the primary stone that best matches your taste and budget. The version in this listing is shown with a boulder opal. Other images show Australian Black opal, white opal, and carnelian.
This is a customizable + made-to-order, ring mounting: you get to choose the primary stone as well as the accent stone if you wish. Please see additional details and customization options below for more information.
What is included in the price
This listing is for the gold mounting INCLUDING the accent diamond but EXCLUDING the primary larger stone. The diamond is between 3.75-4mm (~.20-.25ct generally) and I can use a traditional modern brilliant or an Old European Cut (shown in the listing image). There is absolutely flexibility here to swap in a colored stone, for example a ruby, or a Caribbean-blue Pariaba tourmaline… Information about the larger primary stone is below.
Customization options
Primary Stone: The primary stone needs to be right around 12x16mm and you can select the stone to fit your budget. Shown in these images is a boulder opal, an electric green Lightning ridge black opal, a smokey blue semi-black opal, a bright white opal, and a gorgeous clear red carnelian). Obviously, there is a lot of variation possibility here. Please contact me (cheyenneweil@gmail.com) to discuss options. Any stones I provide are invoiced separately or as a custom listing for you here.
Finger size: Please let me know your size via email (cheyenneweil@gmail.com). I make these by hand, so between sizes, 1/4 sizes are all fine. Let me know any pertinent fit details in your email.
Metal preference: 14K or 18K, white, yellow, or rose gold (14K rose available only). Please contact me for quotes in other metals like platinum or palladium white gold (14K or 18K). Here is a description of all the metal options I work with.
This ring is hand carved in wax by me in my Portland studio using pointy tools, and then cast using the lost-wax method. I do all finishing work, stone setting, and pearl mounting. Each ring is a highly detailed work of art with great attention to detail at every angle; this ring in particular has a delicious weighty feel.
